1 dead, 1 injured in dirt bike crash west of Edmonton

One person is dead and another seriously injured after a crash on Monday night.

Police say a dirt bike and a pickup pulling a trailer collided at Highway 60 and 51 Street, just outside Enoch, around 10:50 p.m.

Mounties say the dirt bike crossed the highway when it was hit by the pickup.

The 20-year-old male passenger on the dirt bike died at the scene, the 16-year-old boy driving the dirt bike was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Both riders were from Devon.

The two people in the pickup were not injured.
