One of three suspects in a Boxing Day murder at a Lethbridge motel appeared in court Thursday.
The body of 34-year-old Christina Webber was found in Lethbridge’s Superlodge motel Dec. 28.
Police said two men and woman who knew the victim entered the room and Webber was shot to death.
They added that the three suspects took property from the room, then fled in an SUV, which was then set on fire.
Kyle Douglas Doddridge, 36, from Lethbridge, was arrested after a standoff with police.
Pincher Creek resident Melissa Tidlund, 23, and 28-year-old Cranbrook, B.C. resident Drew Waters were also charged with first-degree murder and arson.
Doddridge’s matter was set over until next month for both the Crown and defence to review disclosure.
Doddridge originally was scheduled to appear in court Jan. 8, but opted to hire a different lawyer, resulting in the postponement to Jan. 16.
