Warmer and windier this weekend as Calgary’s big melt continues

We'll continue to be above normal and above the freezing mark for the rest of the month, but it comes at a price... wind.

It’s expected to get even warmer this weekend—and even windier.

Late Saturday morning and throughout much of the afternoon in Calgary, expect 40 km/h gusts.

Late in the day and Saturday night, the gusts will pick up to 60.

The gusty Saturday night winds will get our high into the plus double digits on Sunday.

And this warm weather will last for the rest of the month.

Make sure storm drains, eavestroughs and downspouts are cleared out so the fast melt doesn’t end up in your home.
