Very cold, very gusty to start off Friday; weekend expected to stay frosty

Thursday’s cold front dropped the temperature fast in the early afternoon—and it will continue to get colder as we head into Friday and the weekend.

Expect gusts out of the north up to 50 km/h to last for Friday morning.

It should quiet down Friday afternoon.

And be prepared for a very cold start to your Friday morning—with the wind chill, it will feel like -22 at 8 a.m.

Daytime highs on the weekend will be in the minus teens (with the wind chill, it will feel closer to -30 at times).

If you’re not a fan of the cold, then you’ll enjoy the warm-up that will start to kick in by Monday.
