Be prepared for a quick switch to winter Thursday afternoon.
The day will start out mild, but a cold front will sweep through Calgary around 1 p.m.
The winds will pick up (up to 70 km/h in YYC) and this will also spark up some flurries.
A big factor is, after 1 p.m., the temperature will drop fast throughout the rest of the afternoon.

Gusty winds out of the north will drag our temps down to the minus teens for the weekend.
