Second man charged in connection with fatal January 2024 home invasion

A second man has been charged with manslaughter and more in connection with a fatal home invasion in northwest Calgary.

John Wayne Davis, 53, was found dead inside a home in the 0 to 100 block of Braden Crescent N.W. on the morning of Jan. 4, 2024.

Two other individuals were found injured inside the home as well.

Investigation into Davis’s death has stretched on for more than a year, resulting in arrests and charges this month.

Jarvais L. Eisnor, 44, was arrested on Feb. 7, 2025.

Eisnor is charged with manslaughter, unlawful confinement, robbery, break-and-enter and aggravated assault.

Troy Jordan Lemke, 40, has now also been arrested.

Lemke is likewise charged with manslaughter, unlawful confinement, robbery, break-and-enter and aggravated assault.

“We continue to seek justice for John Davis and members of his family,” Staff Sgt. Sean Gregson said Wednesday in a release from police.

“As the investigation has progressed, we have collected and analyzed forensic evidence, which has led to two individuals being charged. This evidence, coupled with persistence of our investigative team, has allowed our investigators to conduct several interviews with those involved, and those who may be aware of the details in relation to this incident.

“These interviews continue to bring clarity to the investigation for our officers and the family of the victim.”
