Investigation underway into house fire in northwest Calgary

An investigation is underway into the cause of a house fire in northwest Calgary.

At around 9:25 a.m., fire crews responded to reports of a fire in the 1500 block of 23 Avenue N.W.

Arriving crews noticed smoke coming from the windows on the main floor. Firefighters were able to launch an interior fire attack and were able to bring the fire under control.

No one was inside at time and no pets were discovered. No injuries were reported.

The home is currently under redevelopment.

Crews remain on scene.

Police said in a statement sent out around 9:30 a.m. that 14 Street N.W. between 22nd and 23rd Avenue N.W. is closed.
