Banff National Park is the only Canadian spot on a new list highlighting the prettiest places on the globe.
The mountain park, which often receives accolades from international publications, has been named on Architectural Digest’s (AD) list of the 21 most beautiful places in the world.
In the article, released March 10, AD praises Banff’s hiking trails, glaciers and “impossibly bright blue” lakes.
“Banff National Park is a paradise for outdoor adventurers,” AD says.
“It’s also the country’s very first national park and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, thanks to its ecological significance.”
Other destinations on the list include Victoria Falls, the Great Barrier Reef, the Serengeti and the Grand Canyon.
In January, Banff made Condé Nast Traveler’s list of the 57 most beautiful places in the world.
