A bakery with more than a dozen locations in Calgary is offering up free hot cross buns to anyone brave enough to showcase their musical talents live in store.
Cobs Bread is hosting Hot Cross Buns Day on March 1.
The event will see patrons who visit any Cobs location and play a rendition of ‘Hot Cross Buns’ on their musical instrument of choice gifted with a free freshly baked hot cross bun, while supplies last.
“Hot cross buns are a beloved staple at Cobs Bread, and we wanted to find a fun way to celebrate them,“ says Peter Furnish, VP of marketing.
“We love seeing our customers bring joy into our bakeries, and what better way to do that than with some music, some fun and a free bun?“
The event is open to anyone of any age.
Cobs is encouraging participants to post their performances online with #HotCrossBunsDay and tag @COBSBread on Instagram and TikTok.
