The Calgary Flames signed forward Jacob Battaglia to a three-year entry-level contract Saturday.
Battaglia was the Flames second-round draft pick (62nd overall) in the 2024 NHL Draft.
He played all 68 games for the Ontario Hockey League’s Kingston Frontenacs this season, scoring 40 goals and adding 50 assists for 90 points, which led the team.
In March, the 19-year-old scored 12 points in 10 games as he helped the Frontenacs finish third in the OHL East.

He’s also an official spokesperson for the Canadian Mental health Association’s sports mental health awareness and suicide prevention program.
The Frontenacs are taking on the Sudbury Wolves in the opening round of the OHL playoffs. Battaglia had two assists as the Frontenacs won Game 1 4-1 Friday night.
The Flames take on the Oilers Saturday night in the latest installment of the Battle of Alberta.
