Emergency crews have closed a section of a downtown Calgary street on Wednesday after a garbage truck collided with a bridge.
Officials say the northbound lanes of First street are closed between 10 Avenue and Ninth Avenue S.W.
According to police, a garbage truck, driving with its forks up, hit the underpass around 6:15 a.m.
Officials say the driver was uninjured.
The Calgary Fire Department is assessing the structural integrity of the bridge and found a small crack in the beam.

Police say the road is expected to be closed for a couple of hours.
