Northbound Crowchild was closed Wednesday morning after a fatal collision.
Calgary police confirmed that one person was dead following an incident involving two vehicles that took place near Flanders Avenue S.W. shortly before 8:30 a.m.
Police said at around 11 a.m. that they expect that northbound Crowchild at 50 Avenue S.W. will be closed for another hour and a half.
Bishop Carroll High School said in a separate release that they have counselling available today for any student impacted by witnessing the event or the emergency response.
“We pray for all those who were affected by this serious incident,” it said.
