Police in Orillia have closed one lane of Highway 12 following a collision involving a school bus carrying children.
On Thursday morning, police were called to the scene of Wainman Line and Prices Corner in Orillia.
Officials say a school bus carrying 16 children and one tractor trailer collided going eastbound along the highway.
Three children were transported to a hospital nearby with non-life threatening injuries. Officials say a school bus company sent a second bus to take the remaining children to school.
Police say the tractor trailer is no longer drivable and charges cannot be laid until further investigation.
Highway 12 is closed at this time. A traffic reconstruction team is on the site determining the cause and two heavy tow trucks are on scene removing both vehicles.
Officials are asking drivers to avoid the surrounding area.
