Some of Canada’s most celebrated figure skating stars are returning to Wasaga Beach this June for a one-of-a-kind weekend of storytelling, performances, and behind-the-scenes access.

Olympic medalists Elizabeth Manley and Elvis Stojko, along with four-time World Champion Kurt Browning, will take centre ice at the new Wasaga Stars Arena on June 8, for Champions on Ice – a high-energy show featuring a cast of elite skaters from around the world. Fans will also have the chance to meet the athletes in person during a post-show meet and greet, and to attend a special Fireside Chat the evening before the main event.

“Wasaga Beach is ready to roll out the red carpet for these figure skating icons who will host a fireside chat and perform at our new Wasaga Stars Arena,” said Mayor Brian Smith.

The event will take place on one of the arena’s new NHL-size ice pads and includes appearances by an impressive roster of talent. In addition to Manley, Stojko and Browning, the show will feature three-time Olympic medalist Kaetlyn Osmond, two-time Canadian Champion Nam Nguyen, two-time Mexican Champion Gladys Orozco-Stojko, and Battle of the Blades champion Violetta Afanasieva.

The celebration kicks off June 7 with the Fireside Chat – a more intimate evening inside the arena’s RE/MAX Room where Manley, Stojko and Browning will share stories from their competitive days, answer audience questions, and offer a glimpse into life off the ice. The evening begins with a sneak peek at the show’s rehearsal, followed by the conversation and a licensed bar for guests of legal drinking age.

On June 8, doors to Champions on Ice open at 1 p.m., with the show beginning at 2 p.m. A post-show meet and greet and autograph session will follow at 4:30 p.m. Tickets for the event range from $25 to $100 and are available now.

“We are so excited to bring Champions on Ice to Wasaga Beach,” said Manley. “After the tremendous success of our 2024 performance during the Town’s Breaking the Ice Festival, it’s clear that Wasaga Beach is a special place for skating fans. Whether you’re attending the show or joining us for the Fireside Chat, this is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to get up close and personal with some of my dearest friends and the sport’s biggest legends, right here in Wasaga Beach.”

Parking for Champions on Ice will be free.
