OFM Investigates ‘suspicious’ fire at home under construction

A fire in the city’s southeast end has left investigators looking for answers.

Barrie Fire and Emergency Services tell CTV News the call for a structure fire came in at 8:15 a.m. on Saturday in the area of Winery Way.

Five units from Barrie Fire attended the scene.

The fire department says no one was in the home, as the home was under construction.

There is currently no available estimate on the cost of damages.

Barrie police say the fire is considered suspicious.

The Ontario Fire Marshall is investigating the cause of the fire.
