Magic mushrooms and cocaine netted in Orangeville raid

In early spring, the Dufferin Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) began a drug trafficking investigation in Orangeville after numerous public complaints.

On April 9, members of the Dufferin and Collingwood OPP Community Street Crime Units (CSCUs) executed a search warrant and arrested a 38-year-old man from Orangeville with possession, trafficking and unauthorized weapon charges.

A 41-year-old man from Grand Valley was charged with possession of cocaine.

During the raid, police recovered the following items including:

  • 16 grams cocaine
  • 14 grams psilocybin
  • Canadian currency
  • metal homemade nun chuck
  • brass knuckles
  • 3 blade punching device
