Gas prices to dip in time for weekend

While experts say gas prices are expected to stay high for months in the long-term, drivers could get some slight relief heading into the weekend.

According to President of Canadians for Affordable Energy Dan McTeague, gas prices could drop more than 10 cents a litre Friday.

On average, prices at the pumps fell 5 cents a litre on Thursday. If you can hold off just one more day to fill up the tank, you can get an even better deal.

After getting up to nearly $2 a litre in Barrie, prices are down to around 190 cents a litre. The prediction for Friday is roughly 183 cents a litre.
