Campbell’s makes a massive donation to the Barrie Food Bank in support of the Feeding Families Food Drive.

Barrie’s annual Feeding Families Food Drive wrapped up on a high note Friday with one final and extra delicious donation.

Campbell’s came through, sending a whopping 13,608 pounds of Goldfish crackers to the Barrie Food Bank, capping off the 2025 campaign.

The snack drop was made possible through the coordination and support of a Barrie Zehrs.

Joel Silver, store manager at the Zehrs on Bayfield Street, covered the logistics and arranged for Stealth Express to handle the transportation and shipping costs.

The gigantic truckload of Goldfish was picked up in Brampton Ont. Friday afternoon and delivered directly to the food bank.

According to food bank representatives, this donation will go a long way in supporting several of their programs. The Goldfish will be included in regular marketplace shopping for families in need, school lunch programs, and emergency services initiatives.

James Ward, manager of the Barrie Food Bank says their current formula is a 1:1 ratio, meaning that one pound of food is equivalent to one meal. This delivery will provide a meal a day for every client for roughly two entire months.

Staff at the food bank say this crunchy surprise will be an extremely helpful one.
