Expect some rain, below average temperatures this Mother’s Day weekend

Mother’s Day weekend can mean many things and as the pages turn on the month of May, weather begins to get a little more bearable outside.

If you’re looking at spending Mother’s Day outside this weekend you could be in luck, but if you’re heading out Saturday you might want to bring a jacket or umbrella just in case.

According to Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) the Barrie area could see mainly cloudy conditions today with a 60 per cent chance of rain and a thunderstorm with a high of 14.

Winds will be blowing from the SE around 20 km/ hour.

Mother’s Day the clouds will clear to sunny conditions and a high of 11.

The winds will increase from the west to 40 km/ hour.

A great weekend to spend with family and friends.
