Country superstar HARDY brings chart-topping anthems to Casino Rama in July

New shows and seasoned favourites are the ingredients for a sure-to-please musical recipe kickstarting summer entertainment at Casino Rama.

The entertainment venue just announced its July lineup, which happens to coincide with the celebration of providing the public 30 years of live music and events.

HARDY

Country superstar and highly successful songwriter HARDY, known for writing hits for some of country’s biggest artists, will take the stage on July 12 at 8 p.m.

The country-rock singer-songwriter has written Morgan Wallen’s “Sand In My Boots,” Florida Georgia Line’s “Simple,” Dallas Smith’s “Drop,” and Blake Shelton’s “God’s Country.” He’s also responsible for songwriting credits for powerhouses like Carrie Underwood, Mitchell Tenpenny, Cole Swindell and Chris Lane. When it comes to his own music, he’s written 18 number one singles including “Truck Bed” and “Wait in the Truck” featuring Laney Wilson.

Touted as one of country music’s most talented tunesmiths according to Billboard, HARDY has won five Academy of Country Music Awards and two Country Music Awards along with several other notable awards in the industry.

Ticket prices range between $134 to $275.

John Fogerty

Lead guitarist of Creedence Clearwater Revival John Fogerty, who has a successful solo career, will bring his genre-crossing sound and The Legacy Tour to the Rama stage.

The sound is a mixture of blues, country, rockabilly, R&B and swamp rock, intertwined with storytelling lyrics.

Fogerty is known for classic hits like “Proud Mary,” “Fortunate Son,” “Born on the Bayou,” “Bad Moon Rising” and “Have You Ever Seen the Rain.”

Tickets range in price from $75 to $150.

Loverboy

Returning fan favourite and Canadian band Loverboy will grace the stage with their signature red leather pants and bandanas on July 24 at 9 p.m., bringing with them a string of beloved hits from a career spanning 40 years.

Fans can expect “Lovin’ Every Minute of It,” “The Kid is Hot Tonite,” “Turn Me Loose” and “Working for the Weekend.”

Since 1978, the band has sold more than 10 million albums.

Tickets range between $35 and $85.

Johnny Reid

Another seasoned artist with a career that’s lasted decades and counting is JUNO Award-winning singer-songwriter Johnny Reid, set to hit the stage on July 31 at 8 p.m.

The Scottish-Canadian artist has sold out multiple arena tours and is most known for his honest lyrics with hits like “Darlin’” and “A Woman Like You.”

Tickets cost between $45 and $95.

Jimmy O. Yang

Coming on July 18 at 8 p.m., stand-up comedian, actor and writer Jimmy O. Yang will bring the laughs to the stage.

Yang is well-known for recently playing in HBO’s Silcon Valley, an Emmy-winning comedy. He was also in the romantic comedy movie Crazy Rich Asians and played the love interest in Netflix’s romantic comedy holiday film Love Hard.

He currently has two comedy specials on Amazon Prime Video and tours around the world doing comedy specials.

Tickets range in price from $69 to $119.
