Blue Mountain night skiing to wrap up for season

Sunday night marked the final night of night skiing at Blue Mountain Resort.

As March rolls along, the ski season continues to wind down, as Sunday will be the last evening of night skiing at Blue Mountain Resort.

A spokesperson from the resort confirmed to CTV News that it will be the last day of ski operations being open until 9 p.m., and that their spring schedule is proceeding as planned thus far.

As of Sunday morning, all eleven lifts are operating, 37 out of 43 trails are open, four out of seven attractions are open, and all four open parks are open according to the resort. Its base is just under 80 centimetres and conditions are ‘variable.’

The resort spokesperson also confirmed to CTV News that next weekend will be the last one with 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. operating hours.

Closer to Barrie, Horseshoe Valley Resort is still operating at near-full capacity, with the resort reporting that trails are still in ‘good’ condition. Its base is at nearly 30 centimetres as of Sunday.

At Mount St. Louis, all slopes are still open and its base is between 70 to 100 centimetres as of Sunday.

Snow Valley Ski Resort is also still going strong with a base depth of 88 centimetres and all trails open.
