A 40-year-old woman who was found injured in north end Halifax last week slipped on ice and then fell under a bus.
Halifax Regional Police says officers found the woman near Gottingen and Bloomfield streets around 7 p.m. on Feb. 28. She went to hospital and later died.
Police say the investigation determined the woman slipped on ice and then fell under a Halifax Transit bus.
“The Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service conducted an autopsy and determined that the woman’s injuries were consistent with this conclusion,” a news release reads.
The investigation is ongoing, but police do not expect charges to be laid.
