Two men were charged in relation to a break and enter early Thursday morning in Amherst, N.S.
Christopher Lee Glennie, 48, and Jason Edward Glennie, 52, both of River Hebert, N.S., were charged with break and enter and theft under $5,000.
An Amherst police officer observed a vehicle occupied by a man parked at a closed business at approximately 4 a.m. Thursday, said an Amherst news release. The officer “checked” the occupant while police checked an adjacent property and a second vehicle which was occupied by another man, said the release.
Police said they discovered numerous items in the second vehicle which were allegedly taken from the building it was parked behind. Both vehicles were seized when the men were arrested.
The accused men were held in custody and made a brief court appearance Thursday before they were released. They were scheduled to appear in court again on May 12.
The incident remains under investigation.
