Halifax Regional Police says a stranger approached a child waiting at a school bus stop and asked them to get into their vehicle on Thursday morning.
A 10-year-old child was waiting for their bus on Langbrae Drive when a white vehicle – described as a smaller SUV – pulled up to them around 8:13 a.m., according to police.
The driver said he was an Uber ordered by the child’s parent. The youth refused to get into the vehicle.
The driver, who spoke in Hindi, is described as an east or southeast Asian man with a black beard. He wore a blue T-shirt and a black jacket.
