Police in Inverness County, N.S., say they recovered four stolen firearms near a school in Whycocomagh.
Officers responded to a report that firearms were found on the ground near a school on the afternoon of April 10.
“Upon arrival, officers were led to the firearms, which were found to be rusty and covered in grass. The firearms were subsequently seized,” reads a news release from the RCMP.
Police say they learned the firearms were stolen during a break and enter in the community in June 2024.
