Man wanted for kidnapping arrested in Dartmouth: police

Police say a man wanted on a kidnapping charge has been arrested in Dartmouth, N.S.

Halifax Regional Police said on March 20 they were looking for 38-year-old Geordie Whyte.

A Canada-wide arrest warrant was issued for his arrest that day.

Police said Whyte was wanted for:

  • kidnapping
  • multiple firearms-related offences
  • multiple breaches of probation orders

Officers executed a warrant at a home in the 0-60 block of Crichton Avenue in Dartmouth on Monday.

Police say Whyte was found and arrested without incident.

He was held and was scheduled to appear in Halifax provincial court on Friday.
