Lobsters valued at more than $2,000 stolen in Mavillette, N.S.

The Nova Scotia RCMP is investigating the theft of lobsters valued at more than $2,000 in Mavillette over the weekend.

Police responded to a break and enter at a Peter Dugas Road commercial building on Sunday, according to an RCMP news release. Officers learned the break in happened sometime between 5 p.m. on Saturday and 8:30 a.m. Sunday.

The garage door was damaged and two crates of live lobsters were stolen.

Police believe a small dark-coloured truck or SUV with a broken rear window may have been used in the incident.
