The Richibucto RCMP is searching for a suspect after shots were fired at a house in Saint-Paul, N.B.
Police said the shooting happened around 1:30 a.m. on March 26 at a house on Route 515. The residents were home at the time and were not injured.
RCMP said they found out about the shooting the next day when a member of the detachment was told about the shooting during a community meeting in Saint-Paul. Police said officers immediately started an investigation.
It’s believed this was an isolated incident, said the police news release.
“I understand that events like this are very concerning, and I would like to reassure the residents of Saint-Paul that the RCMP is committed to ensuring the safety of everyone in the communities we serve,” said Sgt. Guillaume Bélanger in a news release.
On Sunday, police released a photo from video surveillance showing a small orange sedan stop in front of the house and then shoot. RCMP said the driver then drove away.

Police are asking anyone with information or video footage to contact the Richibucto RCMP at 506-523-4611 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.
RCMP said officers remain in the area as part of the ongoing investigation.
