Man charged after alleged assault on Fredericton’s south side

A 28-year-old man has been charged after he allegedly assaulted another man on Fredericton’s south side.

The Fredericton Police Force responded to a report of a person armed with an “edged weapon” around 7:30 p.m. on March 20.

Colin Rogers, 28, was arrested and charged with:

  • aggravated assault
  • assaulting a police officer
  • resisting arrest

Police say the victim was treated for his injuries and released from hospital.

Rogers will remain in custody until his court appearance on Thursday.

The investigation is ongoing.
