Two people have been killed in a house fire in Miramichi, N.B.
The Miramichi Police Force said officers, firefighters and paramedics all responded to the home in the Chatham area around 4:10 a.m. Tuesday.
“Emergency crews arrived to find the residence fully engulfed in flames, resulting in the tragic loss of two lives,” said Miramichi police in a statement.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. Police have not said whether it’s considered suspicious.
Investigators are not releasing the names of the two victims at this time, pending notification of their family.
