The nominations for the 2025 JUNO Awards have been announced, and some artists from the Maritimes are being recognized for their contributions to the industry.
Among this year’s nominees is Classified from Enfield N.S. The rapper and past JUNO winner received two nominations including Rap Single of the Year for his song “People” and Rap Album/EP of the Year for “Luke’s View.”

India Gailey, a cellist, composer, and vocalist based in Halifax, is nominated for Classical Album of the Year (Solo Artist) for “Butterfly Lightning Shakes the Earth.”

In the Children’s Album of the Year category, Saint John, N.B., resident Wes Williams, known best as Maestro Fresh Wes, earned a nomination for Young Maestro “Rhyme Travellers.”

Halifax comedian Nathan Macintosh is also being recognized, earning a nomination for Comedy Album of the Year for “Down With Tech.”

The 54th Juno Awards will take place on March 30 at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver hosted by Michael Bublé.
