The QEII Halifax Infirmary emergency department has resumed normal operations.
The emergency department reopened Friday night after it was partially closed earlier in the evening as it experienced a partial power outage.
According to the Nova Scotia Health Authority (NSHA), the infirmary was only accepting life-threatening emergencies during the outage.
NSHA says anyone in need of non-urgent care during a closure should contact their family doctor or primary care provider. They said general health advice and information can be provided 24 hours a day by calling 811.
