Hi Everyone,
I spent some time with Maritime-based musician – Heather Green – today.
She’s made quite a name for herself in the local music scene… even earned a couple of ECMA nominations earlier this year.
Heather unique sound has connected her with some of our region’s most celebrated artists… from Rose Cousins, to Gordie Sampson and even Ron Hynes.
One of the things I find most interesting about the talented music-maker is the fact that she left Los Angeles to pursue music in Halifax. Doesn’t that usually work in the opposite direction? Admittedly, love had something to do with the move… but Heather was pleasantly surprised to find a flourishing (and inviting) music scene right here on the East Coast.
Her latest album is a called “Your Last War” and it’s on shelves and iTunes right now.
