Valentine Nkengbeza

Valentine Nkengbeza is a multi-media journalist at CTV Atlantic in Halifax. As a university student, Valentine honed his journalism skills as a radio host for ‘Suellaba FM 105’ in Douala - the heart of Cameroon’s economic capital. Valentine took on the role of state journalist in 2010, performing communications and press duties in Yaoundé. He chose to further his career in television news broadcasting in Nova Scotia. In 2013, Valentine enrolled in the Radio Television Journalism program at NSCC and graduated with honours. In 2014, Valentine joined the CTV News Atlantic team in Halifax, where he has performed roles such as technical director, news editor, ENG camera operator, graphics & CG operator, and floor director. Throughout his career, Valentine has covered major news events such as hurricanes, federal and provincial elections, and breaking news. Valentine is a community leader within the African diaspora in the Maritimes. Over the last 10 years, he has served as a board member on several community organizations and is a past president of the Association of Cameroonians in Nova Scotia (ACANS). When he’s not working, Valentine enjoys family time, traveling, Afrobeats Djing, and soccer.
