Sydney Wray

Toronto-based journalist Sydney Wray has covered a wide range of subjects from federal elections to the Olympic Games. Sydney specializes in sports journalism, social media, human interest reporting, and pop culture. She also has a strong interest in film and documentary. Sydney worked as a Content Contributor with the Canadian Olympic Committee, covering the 2022 Beijing Olympics and other international competitions. Sydney also worked as a graphic designer at McDonald’s for their International Corporate Relations team. Sydney holds a Bachelor of Journalism with a Double Minor in Law and Music from Carleton University, as well as a Master of Fine Arts in Documentary Media from Toronto Metropolitan University. Her work has appeared in the Ottawa Citizen and on Olympic.ca. Sydney’s work has been recognized by the Mort Greenberg Award in Documentary Media, the Carleton University Prestige Chancellor’s Scholarship, the Ryerson University Graduate Scholarship, and the K. Phyllis Wilson Award. Sydney speaks English.
