RCMP seeking tips in Victoria Beach double homicide

Mounties have yet to confirm the identity of a suspect in the deadly shootings that left two people dead in Victoria Beach, Man. late last week.

In an update released Monday afternoon, the RCMP said investigators are still looking for information related to a white truck seen fleeing the area south on Highway 59.

The bodies of a 29-year-old Winnipeg man and a 41-year-old Victoria Beach woman were found at a property on Hampton Road around 2 a.m. on Friday.

Police reiterated Monday that investigators continue to believe this was a targeted shooting and the risk to the community remains low.

Since the shooting, the RCMP said investigators have spoken to the property owner and have canvassed the area for witnesses, surveillance camera footage, or any other evidence that could be of help.
