Woman arrested in connection to January home invasion

The Windsor Police Service has arrested a woman in connection to a home invasion last month.

Just after 7 p.m. on Friday, the 25-year-old woman was found and arrested without incident.

The woman was amongst five suspects wanted by the WPS after they allegedly forced their way into a home in the 2500 block of Luxury Avenue on Jan. 13.

According to police, jewelry, money, and an SUV were stolen as two elderly people were assaulted, bound, and threatened.

The suspect has been charged with:

- Break-and-enter and commit robbery

- Robbery with an offensive weapon

- Robbery

- Assault causing bodily harm

- Assault with a weapon

- Assault

- Forcible confinement

- Uttering death threats

- Theft of a motor vehicle

Four more suspects remain wanted by police. They are all described as men between the ages of 20 and 30 years old. All suspects were wearing face coverings at the time of the incident.
