Windsorites invited downtown to watch Canada-U.S. championship game

The city is preparing for the Canada vs. U.S. championship game on Thursday. CTV Windsor’s Stefanie Masotti checks in with the community.

The Downtown Windsor Business Improvement Association (DWBIA) is inviting you to watch the 4 Nations championship game between Canada and the U.S.

The streets will be lit in white and red.

“There’s nothing quite like watching Team Canada play for gold, and there’s no better place to celebrate that than in downtown Windsor,” said DWBIA Chair Chris MacLeod.

“Our restaurants and bars offer the perfect atmosphere to cheer on our national team alongside fellow Canadians. The energy downtown during big games like this is absolutely incredible.”

The DWBIA promises a night of unforgettable hockey and Canadian spirit.

You can catch the game at various businesses, such as The Bull and Barrel, Hustle 507, Eastwood’s Bar and Grill, On A Roll Sushi and Sliders, and Treehouse Bar and Grill.

“Even if you’re not a die-hard hockey fan, it’s a great night to experience the excitement of downtown Windsor,” said MacLeod.

“Tonight’s the night to show your Canadian pride.”

The puck drops at 8:20 p.m. on Thursday.
