Windsor Spitfires sign Michal Svrcek on OHL Scholarship and Development Agreement

The Windsor Spitfires have signed last year’s first round import pick, Michal Svrcek to an OHL Scholarship and Development Agreement.

Svrcek was selected 53rd overall in the CHL Import Draft from Slovakia. In Sweden, he played in the J20 and SHL leagues, recording 30 points in 30 games. He was also drafted by the Detroit Red Wings in the fourth round, 119 overall, in the 2025 NHL Entry Draft.

“It is super exciting. I am super happy and looking forward to it,” said Svrcek.

Bill Bowler, Spits’ general manager added that Svrcek is a “world junior talent and will make an immediate impact” to Windsor’s team.

“We are excited to bring Michal to Windsor,” he said.
