Over $825,000 raised by Stellantis for United Way

Stellantis employees and retirees worked to raise over $800,000 for the United Way Windsor-Essex Chatham-Kent.

More than $825,000 has been raised by Stellantis employees and retirees, looking to support local students and families.

Presented at Catholic Central High School on Thursday, the United Way Centraide Windsor-Essex Chatham-Kent received $825,670.26 for its On Track to Success program. Catholic Central is a school that benefits from the program.

“Stellantis, Unifor Local 444 and 195 have been extraordinary partners who share our belief that every child deserves the opportunity to succeed,” said Lorraine Goddard, CEO of the United Way Windsor-Essex Chatham-Kent.

“Their continued generosity reflects a deep commitment to helping young people reach their full potential through education and the support they need to thrive. Together, we’re creating opportunities that will strengthen our community for generations to come.

The program helps with access to technology and academic support for school-age children, mental health counselling services, and the regional foodbank network. It is delivered to priority neighbourhoods in Windsor-Essex and Chatham-Kent, helping students graduate from high school and pursue post-secondary education, including the skilled trades.

“Through their generosity, we are helping ensure local students and families have access to essential support, from education and technology to mental health resources, so they can succeed in the year ahead.”
