Man wanted in assault investigation turns himself in to police

A man wanted in relation to an assault investigation has turned himself over to Windsor police.

Charges stem from an assault at a residence in the 300 block of Glengarry Avenue, which took place shortly after midnight on Feb. 9.

Officers say they conducted a preliminary investigation and learned that a verbal argument among several parties escalated into a physical altercation.

The suspect allegedly punched the victim, stabbed them multiple times, and threatened to kill them before fleeing the scene.

The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the incident.

An arrest warrant was issued by Windsor police on Tuesday for 30-year-old Devante Kersey.

He faces several charges including assault, uttering death threats and more.

He has since turned himself over to Windsor police.
