Firefighters respond to kitchen fire on Marentette Avenue

Windsor firefighters were called to a fire on Marentette Avenue.

Officials said on social media Monday morning that the upgraded working fire is in the 1500 Block of Marentette, which is near Shepherd Street East.

About an hour later, fire officials said that it was a kitchen fire and has been extinguished.

The public was asked to stay clear of the area.
