Abbotsford police seek witnesses to hit-and-run that caused ‘minor injuries’ to pedestrian

Police in Abbotsford are asking for witnesses and video evidence as they investigate a hit-and-run collision that occurred in the city earlier this week.

The incident happened around 2:40 p.m. on Wednesday, the Abbotsford Police Department said on social media Saturday afternoon.

A pedestrian was crossing the intersection of Townline Road and Blueridge Drive, heading north. Police said a westbound white SUV struck the pedestrian and fled the scene on Blueridge Drive.

Police described the driver as a white man in his 40s with brown hair and a brown beard.

“Fortunately, the pedestrian only sustained minor injuries,” police added.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or has dash cam video from the area at the time of the incident is asked to contact the Abbotsford Police Department and reference file number 25-8195.
