Woman stabbed, suspect in custody after stabbing in East York: police

A woman in her 40s has been taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after a stabbing near Eastdale Ave. and Lumsden Ave.

One woman is in custody after a stabbing in East York that sent a female victim to hospital late Wednesday night.

Police were called to the area of Lumsden and Eastdale avenue at 10:40 p.m. for reports of two women fighting.

Police said one woman, who is believed to be in her 40s, was stabbed and sustained non-life-threatening injuries. She was taken to hospital for treatment.

The other woman was arrested at the scene, police said.
