Torontonian charged after allegedly confining student inside high school washroom in St. Thomas

A 31-year-old Torontonian has been charged for allegedly threatening and restraining a student inside of a high school washroom in St. Thomas, Ont.

Police say they were called to the school on Jan. 22, after school administration learned three masked, unknown individuals had entered the school with a student. They did not say what school this took place in.

Once they were inside, police said the group found another student and confined them to a school washroom.

The group allegedly threatened the student about some ongoing issues between several other students at the school before taking off in a nearby parked vehicle.

Police say the 31-year-old turned themselves in and faces charges for forcible confinement and uttering threats. The charges have not been tested in court.

Officers did not provide any further details about the other two masked individuals, or if they are searching for them at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.
