Man in his 50s seriously injured in east-end stabbing, Toronto police say

A man in his 50s is in hospital following a stabbing in the east end Saturday night.

Toronto police said a call came in for a stabbing shortly after 7:30 p.m. in the area of Victoria Park and Danforth Avenues.

Officers arrived at the scene and located the victim suffering from stab wounds.

Police said the man’s injuries are considered serious but not life-threatening.

No suspect information has been released.

The circumstances that led to the stabbing are not immediately known.
