Punnichy RCMP asking for tips after assault on Muskowekwan First Nation

One person has been taken to hospital with serious injuries following an assault on Muskowekwan First Nation on Wednesday.

Officers with Punnichy RCMP received the report around 8:30 a.m. Through investigation, officers determined that an unknown person or group of people broke into a residence and assaulted a man, according to an update from Saskatchewan RCMP on Thursday.

The man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

RCMP believe the assault took place between the evening of June 9 and the morning of June 10.

The police service is asking the public for tips that may help with the investigation.

Anyone who saw any suspicious activity or captured any surveillance video on Muskowekwan First Nation during that time, is asked to contact RCMP or Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers.
