Football fans are getting ready for a blockbuster rematch in New Orleans this Sunday, as the Kansas City Chiefs face the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl.

TSN football insider, Dave Naylor, told CTV Morning Live Friday a very close game is anticipated, noting Kansas City Chiefs’ pattern of winning. He says the Eagles have a tough game ahead.

“You look at the game two years ago, (and you see) it came down to the wire. The Chiefs won 38-35,” Naylor said, noting the Chiefs beat the Eagles in the 2023 Super Bowl.

History could be made this weekend if the Chiefs win the game, as they’d be the first team in National Football League (NFL) history to win three consecutive Super Bowls, Naylor adds. He says the team is equipped with what it takes to make that happen.

“It’s just a sport where so much can go wrong over the course of the season. It’s obviously a sport that has a lot of injuries,” Naylor explained.

He says every team must keep their best players healthy to compete, which is something the Chiefs have been doing.

“We’re also in an era of the National Football League compared to 40-30 years ago where teams controlled players in terms of their contracts and their careers longer than they do nowadays,” Naylor said.

“There’s a lot of free agencies in football.”

This Super Bowl is the Chief’s fifth in six years, Naylor says, pointing out that “there’s only five players plus a kicker, and a long snapper that have been with the team.”

“So, you’re rotating a lot of players through your roster, (and) keeping some key players,” he added.

He says last year, there was a Taylor Swift sighting on the field immediately after the game. And based on this sighting, Naylor is anticipating another Swift sighting this year. Swift is dating Chiefs tight-end Travis Kelce.

“And half the fans will love it, half will not,” he said.

The biggest game of the year will take place at Caesars Superdome, which is home to the New Orleans Saints. Caesars Superdome has a capacity of 83,000 spectators. The game will decide the league champion for the 2024 NFL season.
