Ottawa police seek suspects in pellet gun drive-by that damaged windows in Centrepointe and Barrhaven

Ottawa police are looking for two suspects after an apparent drive-by shooting involving a pellet gun or a slingshot damaged several windows in the Centrepointe and Barrhaven areas.

The incident happened overnight between Jan. 31 and Feb. 1. The windows of several schools, bus shelters and businesses were damaged as the suspects drove around.

Examples include:

• Several bus shelters along Greenbank Road, Berrigan Drive and Meadowlands Drive
• A building in the 100 block of Constellation Cres.
• A business in the 1600 block of Greenbank Rd.
• A school in the 3000 block of Greenbank Rd.
• A school in the 400 block of Longfields Dr.
• A school in the 1-100 block of Centrepointe Dr.

Ottawa police said there were other locations beyond the list provided.

The cost of the damage is estimated at $23,000.

Ottawa police are looking for a silver 2012 to 2015 Honda CRV with tinted windows. The two suspects are described as “light-skinned” males of unknown age, who were wearing dark clothing at the time. One is believed to be approximately six feet (183 cm) tall, with a thin build.
