Here’s when Albion Road will reopen from Findlay Creek Drive to Del Zotto Avenue

The City of Ottawa says Albion Road will be closed this weekend from Findlay Creek Drive to Del Zotto Avenue for a culvert replacement.

The closure is in effect from Friday 7 p.m. until 5:30 a.m. Monday.

Drivers who normally take Albion Road are asked to plan ahead and to allow extra time, the city adds, pointing out some detour routes that will be in place.

“Detour routes will be in place and will follow Leitrim Road, Bank Street and Mitch Owens Road,” the city says on its website.

The closure will also affect OC Transpo Route 93, which will also be detoured. Information about OC Transpo service is available online.

The city notes that after Albion Road will reopen, there will be short-term lane reductions on the major artery between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. temporarily next week from Monday until Wednesday.
